Fertigungsprozesse
Die Vielfalt der Fertigungsprozesse spiegelt sich in dem breiten Spektrum an Forschungsthemen innerhalb der Gruppe Fertigungsprozesse wider und verdeutlicht die interdisziplinäre Ausrichtung der Forschungsarbeit. Ein zentraler Schwerpunkt liegt auf dem mechanischen Fügen artungleicher Werkstoffe, wobei ein besonderer Fokus auf der Wandlungsfähigkeit der Fügeprozesse liegt, um deren Anpassungsfähigkeit an weschselnde Anforderungen zu gewährleisten. Hier werden neuartige Verfahren sowie Verfahrensadaptionen untersucht.
Darüber hinaus bilden die ultraschallunterstützte Umformung und die Entwicklung hybrider Bauteile und Prozesse weitere bedeutende Forschungsthemen. Insbesondere die Kombination von additiver Fertigung und Umformtechnik eröffnet neue Möglichkeiten zur Herstellung komplexer und funktionsoptimierter Bauteile, indem die Vorteile beider Verfahren kombiniert werden. Die Digitalisierung spielt dabei ebenfalls eine Rolle, indem datengetriebene Ansätze integriert werden, um eine effiziente Fertigung zu ermöglichen.
Zentrale Fragestellungen der Forschungsarbeiten umfassen die Entwicklung eines grundlegenden Verständnisses der Prozessmechanismen, die Identifikation und Implementierung innovativer Fertigungsprozesse sowie die gezielte Weiterentwicklung bestehender Verfahren. Dies schließt die systematische Untersuchung von Prozessgrenzen, deren Erweiterung durch den Einsatz neuer Technologien sowie die Übertragung der Erkenntnisse auf industrielle Anwendungen ein.
