SMART 2024

From September 30th until 04.10. The sixth edition of the Sheet Metal Advanced Research and Teaching summer school took place in Palermo. Prof. L. Fratini from the University of Palermo took on the challenge of organizing this event again after a break. 39 inquisitive participants, including six doctoral students from the LFT, were extensively introduced to scientific work in the field of sheet metal processing by 8 lecturers from Germany and Italy in 16 lecture units. The location, the appropriate weather and the timetable meant that, in addition to a lot of content and a final exam, the event also offered enough space to get to know Palermo and the surrounding area. Overall, a successful event, which will be continued in two years with the next edition of SMART. This will then be organized by the LFT.
