Inaugural lecture by Prof. M. Lechner

On June 27, 2024, Prof. Lechner introduced himself to the faculty with his inaugural lecture on the topic of “Tailor-made solutions for the production of tomorrow”. Dean Prof. Willner welcomed the audience before Prof. Lechner gave an exciting overview of the possibilities for tailoring semi-finished product properties, joining techniques and material combinations in just under half an hour. The content of both completed and current research work at the institute was combined. The bottom line is pride of what has been achieved and excitement about the answers to the open questions that are currently being researched.
