The Institute for freshmen

This year too, the LFT welcomed the first-year students with a tour and information about the content of the institute's research fields. 50 curious first-year students from the Mechanical Engineering Department took up the offer. In exciting live demonstrations, the students gained insights into the forming production of bipolar plates from metal foils using 3D printed tools. During an open exchange at the start of the course, our employees were available to answer technical questions about forming technology and mechanical engineering. Personalized giveaways as well as snacks and drinks created a pleasant atmosphere. After a lively exchange about course content and possible projects, we are looking forward to accompanying the new faces in mechanical engineering. Welcome to FAU – and perhaps soon to LFT too!
